Terms and Conditions (Terms of Business)
Last Updated: October 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By requesting quotations, submitting bills, signing a Letter of Authority (LOA), or using the services of Utility Saving Solutions Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”), your business (“the Client”) agrees to be bound by these terms.
1. Role of Utility Saving Solutions Ltd
1.1. Utility Saving Solutions Ltd is an independent commercial utility broker and Third-Party Intermediary (TPI).
1.2. We are not an energy or water supplier. We do not generate, distribute, or physically supply electricity, gas, or water.
1.3. Our service consists of assessing business energy requirements, obtaining quotes from our panel of licensed suppliers, and facilitating contract execution upon your instructions.
2. Scope of Services
2.1. We provide commercial utility procurement exclusively to UK businesses, partnerships, charities, and public sector bodies. We do not provide domestic supply services.
2.2. All quotations are indicative and depend on supplier pricing, credit checks, meter verification, and wholesale market movements until formal acceptance.
2.3. While we strive to secure competitive pricing across our supplier network, we do not guarantee that every supplier in the UK market will be tendered or that a quote is the absolute lowest available across the entire market.
3. Letter of Authority (LOA)
3.1. To gather supply information, contract end dates, and historical billing from existing suppliers, we may request a signed Letter of Authority (LOA).
3.2. Signing an LOA does not enter you into an energy contract or switch your supplier. An LOA only grants us permission to communicate with suppliers on your behalf.
3.3. Any new energy agreement requires your explicit confirmation.
4. Energy Supply Contracts & No Cooling-Off Period
4.1. When you accept an offer, the resulting supply contract is a direct, legally binding contract between your business and the chosen energy supplier.
4.2. The person agreeing to the contract warrants that they have full legal authority to enter into commercial agreements on behalf of the business.
4.3. No Cooling-Off Rights: Business energy contracts in the UK do not feature statutory cooling-off periods. Once accepted and validated by the supplier, the contract cannot be cancelled without supplier termination penalties.
5. Broker Remuneration & Commission Transparency
Our Commission Policy: We do not charge your business any direct consultation or comparison fees. Our service is remunerated via a commission paid directly by the chosen energy supplier. This commission is built into your agreed unit rate (typically between 0.1p and 2p per kWh) over the contract term. You are entitled to request details of the commission applicable to any proposed contract prior to signing.
6. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Provide accurate and truthful consumption, billing, and tenancy information.
- Notify us immediately of any change of tenancy (COT), premises relocation, or corporate restructuring.
- Ensure accounts with existing suppliers have no unpaid arrears or disputed debt that could result in a transfer objection.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1. Utility Saving Solutions Ltd is not liable for future wholesale energy market changes, supplier billing discrepancies, physical supply interruptions, meter failures, or delays caused by supplier credit rejections or objections.
7.2. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be legally excluded under English law.
8. Complaints & Energy Ombudsman
8.1. We maintain a documented Complaint Handling Procedure. In case of any dispute, contact us directly:

- Post: Energy Ombudsman, PO Box 966, Warrington, WA4 9DF
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Business and any disputes arising from them are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales, and both parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
